Obituary for
Janina Dycha
Janina Dycha (Jaszek) of Edmonton, AB, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2022, at the age 86 years.
Born in Poland, Janina was the 6th child of Stanislaw and Paulina Jaszek. She immigrated to Canada at the age of 25 after marrying Stanley Dycha. They farmed early on and then moved to Edmonton, where they were active members of the Holy Rosary Catholic community. She was devoted to her family, especially those she left behind in Poland, as well as her children and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; son, John; and most recently, daughter, Theresa Maria. Janina is survived by her daughter-in-law, Darcy Dycha; and her granddaughters, Emily and Kate. She will be missed by family members in Poland and many friends here in Edmonton.
Funeral Mass Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 11485 – 106 St, Edmonton, AB. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, 14611 Mark Messier Trail, Edmonton, AB.
The family is grateful for the care and wonderful support received from all at the Hardisty Care Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 11485 – 106 St, Edmonton, AB in memory of Janina Dycha.
