Janice Wendy Osborne
Janice Wendy (Sewards) Osborne – age 66, of Upper
Dyke, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at home. Born in
Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Robert Sewards and May
(Surette) (Sewards) (Charles) Barker. Janice was a longtime employee
of Canada Post, where she worked for 23 years as a rural route driver
in Kentville. She was also a homemaker, raising her three boys, and
she was a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren. She is
survived by her husband, James “Doug”; sons, Doug,
Kentville; Jason (Michelle Copage), Cambridge; Nathan (Kendra
Shaffer), Berwick; grandchildren, Cody, Noah, Hallie and Kazie;
sisters, Joan Chase, New Minas; Regina (Richard) Lamond, Coldbrook;
brothers, Joseph, New Minas; Gregory (Shannon) South Alton; Alan
(Julie) New Minas; extended family and friends. In addition to her
parents and stepfather, she was predeceased by brothers, Robert and
Daniel. In keeping with Janice’s wishes, cremation has taken
place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in
memory may be made to a charitable organization of your choice.
