Zwarich
– Janice Marina Zwarich (nee Betts),
of Miscouche, aged 85 years, passed peacefully at the Prince County
Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, June 2, 2022, following a lengthy
bout with dementia. Born in New Dominion, she was the daughter of the
late Reuben and Rosanna “Rosie” (McDougall) Betts. Survived
by her son Wade Zwarich; daughter Lesa Jordan; granddaughter Amanda
Richmond; and by her nephew and nieces to whom she was like a sister,
Roy MacDonald, Diane Raper, Anita MacGillivray and Peggy Dollar.
Predeceased by her husband Frank Zwarich; brothers Willard and Arthur
Betts; and by sisters Mae Stewart and Cynthia MacDonald. Janice was
the gentlest lady many will ever know. She was a compassionate and
generous soul, who endeared herself to just about everyone she ever
met. She never gave herself credit for all the many things
she was able to do, even though she did them all very well. She had a
delightful sense of humour and was often the life of the party, with
her easy-going nature, her wonderful musical talent, and of course her
highly contagious laughter. Her late husband had the perfect nickname
for her, Snowflake, because she was truly one-of-a-kind. Janice will
be dearly missed by all who knew her. Resting at Moase
Funeral Home, Summerside. No visiting hours or funeral service by
