It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved colleague, Jamie Steven Serafinchon, who suddenly passed away on November 2, 2022.
Jamie leaves behind to mourn his passing his mother, Christine; uncles and aunts, Ken (Wendy), Maria; numerous relatives in Canada and Poland; close friends, and members of the Alberta Sheriff’s community.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Steve and Julia; and uncle, Al.
Jamie’s mother Christine describes their relationship as “awesome”, expressing that Jamie was always helpful, always taking her to appointments, taking her to run errands, and going for walks with her. She speaks fondly of his main hobby, how he loved vehicle models and figurines, and how he enjoyed putting them together and transforming them into soldiers and military personnel. He was very near and dear to her.
Jamie was a highly valued member of the Sheriff’s Branch. He was a true professional and an asset to our organization. He took pride in his work and was always extremely well-prepared, someone who was willing to go above and beyond. He was our teammate that we could always go to for direction and support. He was one of our most knowledgeable members and would continually step up whether it was on the front lines, conducting training for his peers, writing branch policy, or acting in the role of a Sgt.
Having Jamie at LGCS meant having an excellent leader, colleague, and friend and we will miss him dearly.
Jamie, your presence and outstanding workmanship will be a void that will never be filled. You will be deeply missed.
Rest In Peace
