James Vienneau
1934-2022
James Eldridge Vienneau, age 88, of Trenton, NS, formerly of
Campbellton, NB, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, August
31, 2022 at St. Martha’s Hospital.
James was born in Campbellton, NB. He was a son of the late
Reverend Joseph and Margaret (Duthie) Vienneau. At the age of 16, he
started his radio career introducing country music to Campbellton and
Newfoundland radio. James had many different careers in his life and
was a hardworking man, from radio, working for the school board and
finished working in the construction field at the age of
70.
James was extremely proud his family and drove many miles in
his vehicles travelling provinces, just to see them. He frequently
mentioned being grateful he was alive to see all his grandchildren
graduate.
James was predeceased by his wife, Marsha Mann Vienneau;
brothers, Joseph and David. James is survived by son, Stephen (Carol)
Vienneau, Kitchener, Ont; daughters, Mary Lou (Wesley) MacDonnell, and
Krista Vienneau, Trenton, NS; grandchildren, Alicia, Alex, Joanna,
Hayley, Emily and Colin and six great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred;
and sisters, Reverend Rose Marie and Betty Jean; as well and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or
service, as per his wishes. Arrangements are under the direction of
R.H Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
