Obituary of James Roy Hines
NEW GLASGOW – James Roy Hines, 66, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 5, 2022, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Benjamin Harold and Kathleen Marion (Williams) Hines. James was employed with the former Scotsburn Dairy for a number of years. Following, he attended Nova Scotia Community College graduating from the IT program. James was employed with Convergys New Glasgow and Truro. In earlier years he was part of “Your Kind of Music” and a member of the Plymouth Fire Department. He was most recently employed as a security guard with the Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton.
Surviving are his sons, Alex (Kyley) and their son, James, Edmonton, Alta.; Carl, Edmonton; brothers, Paul (Mary Lou), Souris, P.E.I.; Dave (Marie), Stellarton; Ben, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
In honour of James, a Celebration of Life will be held 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022, in the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 28, Stellarton.
