Mattie, James Reginald “Reggie”, age 75, of Meadow
Green, Antigonish County, passed away on October 3, 2022, at St.
Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late William and
Mamie (Benoit) Mattie.
Reggie had a wonderful sense of humour and was a legendary
prankster. He enjoyed playing darts, cards, and board games
with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed travelling,
especially on road trips. Reggie was an avid outdoorsman,
enjoying trapping, hunting, and fishing. He’s on a
Coldstream somewhere waiting for the trout to come up.
He is survived by his children, Kelly (Wayne) Logue, Gerard,
and Nickole Fiander, all of Meadow Green; seven grandchildren and four
great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his wife, Kathleen.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral Mass will be
held on Tuesday in St. Andrew’s Church, St. Andrews, at
2:00pm with Reverend Dennis Lamey presiding. Burial in St.
Peter’s Cemetery, Tracadie.
