James Neil Lawson
1952-2022
MUNDLEVILLE, NB – James Neil Lawson 70, of
Mundleville passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont
University Hospital Center in Moncton on Monday, November 7,
2022. Born in Rexton, he was the son of the late Frank
Lawson and Irene (Campbell) Lawson.
James was in the trucking business for 50 years and
especially enjoyed beef farming which he was involved in throughout
his life. As a younger man he enjoyed boating, snowmobiling
and always grew a large garden.
As he grew older he spent many hours reading and hunting for
bargains at local yard sales. He was able to combine these
two hobbies once when he traded his grandson`s X-Box’s for two
Louis L’Amour novels. He was blessed with many
lifelong friends and a large loving family.
James will be sadly missed by his mother, Irene (Campbell)
Lawson of Main River; two sons, Jeff Lawson (Carla) of Main River,
Trevor Lawson (Tammy) of Carrolls Corner, NS; one daughter, Tanya
Oulton (Cory) of Fredericton; eight grandchildren, Kody, Spencer,
Kent, Summer, Jack, Katherine, Isaac and
Charlotte.
He is also survived by three sisters, Elaine Warren (Claude)
of Rexton, Brenda Lawson of Galloway, Wendy Lawson of Main River; five
brothers, Ralph Lawson (Darlene) of Main River, Howard Lawson (Joan)
of Main River, Garth Lawson (Donna) of Cap Lumiere, Brent Lawson
(Natasha) of Main River, Shane Lawson (Era lisa) of Main River and
many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Besides his father, Frank Lawson, he was predeceased by his
special uncles, Everett and Allison and one infant
sister.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Thursday beginning at 1:00 pm until time of the
service. A Celebration of James’ life will be held
on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Thompson’s
Funeral Home Chapel in Richibucto.
