James Jim McIntyre Friday September 9th 2022

McIntyre, James “Jim” John:
It is with profound sadness to announce that Jim McIntyre passed away suddenly of a heart attack on September 9, 2022 at the age of 74. He is survived by his dear spouse of 43 years, Janice Psutka and stepson, Dan Psutka. Jim is survived by his siblings, Jill (Don Gilbey 2008) of Waterloo, Dorothy (Ray Morrison) of Keswick, Karen (Gary Pollock) of Pickering and Kenny of Kitchener as well as in-laws, Beverly (Bob Fisher), Kathy (Kevin Thomson), Bob Mahn (Ellie), Tom Mahn (Sue) and Tim Mahn (Monica). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents, Hugh and Ivy, and nephew, Justin Gilbey.
Jim worked at Square D and Schneider Electric and Engel. He loved his fishing with his dear friend Jeff White. Jim wasn’t one to sit around. He went out every day shopping or visiting friends for a few beers. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking and being up at his trailer at Fishermans Cove for 30 years and was an avid fan of collecting hockey cards – tens of thousands of them – Go Leafs Go! He loved birds and animals and nature.
Jim’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:30 – 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 3:30 p.m.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
