The family is sad to announce the passing of Ian Gibbard after his long battle with cancer in his 85th year on Monday, December 5th, 2022 at the Algonquin Grace Hospice.
Loving husband of the late Marg Gibbard (Holland) on November 13,2022. Father to Ken, (Kim) Gibbard and Donna Currie. Grandfather to 6, Zack Ried, Tasha (Josh)Wreggitt, Jenna and Taylor Gibbard, Ryan (Rebbecca) Currie, Josh Currie and great grandfather to 5.
Ian was born in Toronto to Thomas Reginald Gibbard and Dorthy Gibbard (Taylor). He was predeceased by his siblings Tom, Ruth, Arnold, George, Eleanor, Glenna, Gibbard
The family would like to thank all the staff and volunteers at the Algonquin Grace Hospice where he spent his final days. We would also like to thank all the health care and community workers for the many years of support.
A Celebration of Life for Ian and Marg will be help at Trinity United Church, 33 Main Street, East, Huntsville on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11 a.m.
A reception will follow in Trinity Hall.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Algonquin Grace Hospice would be appreciated.
