Cam came to Sudbury in 1966 to open House of Broadloom with partner, Ron Lewis. Today the store is owned and operated by his oldest son, Phil and his family. Cam certainly loved Sudbury and his over 40 years as a member of the Idylwylde Golf Club. He took great pleasure in the camaraderie of his golfing buddies. He took great joy in his “camp” on the French River. He and Judy spent many retirement winters at their home in Florida.
In his younger years, he excelled in playing clarinet and alto sax; playing clarinet at Massey Hall and also in the Eaton’s Symphony Orchestra. Later, he played alto sax in a dance band and he excelled at jazz clarinet.
As per Cam’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations to HSN Foundation would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Lougheed Funeral Home.
