RIDDELL: Jack Alexander
July 20, 1936 – April 14, 2022
Peacefully, after a brief but courageous battle against cancer on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at home with his wife Karen and faithful companion “Willow” by his side.
Predeceased by his parents Jack and Elizabeth Riddell, Stratford and brother Barry Riddell (late Denise), Montreal.
Jack will be sadly missed by his daughter Elizabeth Masse (Chris), son Mark Riddell as well as his grandchildren Amber Payler (Darren), Zac Riddell, Julie Grainger (Kevin), Jon Riddell (Shannon Weir), Rachel Masse (Darren Grainger) and great grandchildren Audra Payler and James Grainger. Also missed by nephew Lindsay Riddell (Alexandra), Montreal. Dear brother-in-law to Nancy Gillespie (late Bill), Woodstock and the late Allan Ward, Woodstock.
Jack retired from CIBC in 1993 after 40 years of service and he and Karen moved to the Benmiller area where they enjoyed gardening, sailing and watching Lake Huron sunsets at the family cottage on Bogies Beach.
Cremation has taken place in keeping with Jack’s wishes and there will be no visitation or funeral. A private family Celebration of Jack’s life will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in Jack’s memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
