February 18, 1930 – December 30, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Isobel Grace Hope announce her passing on December 30th, 2021, at Happy Valley-Goose Bay Long Term Care at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are children; Marge (Jim) Goudie, May (Jim) Price, Aggie (John) Schneider, Bruce (Anne Marie) Hope, Mitzi (Kevin) Wall, Marie (Tony) Bourque, Debbie (Dwight) Smith, George Hope, Earl (Mindi) Hope, Kay (Wesley) D’entremont; 34 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; brothers: Joe (Debbie) Goudie and James (Rosemary) Goudie, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends. Isobel was predeceased by her parents James and Elizabeth Goudie, husband Rank Hope, son Yugon, daughter Karon, Leo and Kenny.
Due to limited capacity, private “by invitation only” visitations will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Tuesday, January 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Wednesday, January 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 6th, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the United Church in Happy Valley-Goose Bay with Reverend Blackwood officiating. Internment to follow at the United Cemetery. Following COVID-19 regulations, masks and proof of vaccination will be required for entry into the funeral home and church. As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be graciously accepted or donations to Helping Hands may be made in Isobel’s memory.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank-you” to the nurses and staff at Happy Valley-Goose Bay Long Term Care home.
