SORENSEN, ISABEL
Isabel Y. Sorensen, formerly of Mitchell, passed away on her 100th birthday at Guelph General Hospital on March 2, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Loving mother of Ken (Debi) and Ian (Gary). Devoted grandmother of Lindsay (Trevor), Andrew (Sarah), David (Colleen). Cherished great grandmother of Ashlyn, Kailey, Owen, Jack, Avery, Connor, Isla, Livia, and Xavier.
Predeceased by her parents John and Margaret and her sister Winnie.
Isabel loved life. As a homemaker family was everything. She was blessed to see her 3 grandkids mature into adults. Just as important she has had the pleasure to see her 9 great grandkids develop. Isabel did not always live close to her kids. Travelling became second nature to her. A Christmas visit to Atlantic Canada and latterly North Carolina was rarely missed as her grandkids grew up. Summer visits were regular as well. In 2000 Isabel moved to a retirement home in Guelph where she would be close to her grandkids and enjoyed an active retirement there making new friends.
