Obituary of Ipe Vander Deen
Monday, July 25, 2022, the Lord took Home our Dear Dad, Opa and Great Opa in his 96th year.
He was born on July 19th, 1927 in Schildwolde in the province of Grongingen in the Netherlands. Dad wanted to come to Canada after the war but the young men in Holland at that time had to serve in Indonesia. Dad immigrated to Canada January 1951. There he was reunited with Grace Feddema whose family immigrated in 1949. They married in April 1954 and had a wonderful 57 years together. Dad was a great example of being a Christian parent and was always thankful to the Lord for his life and family. Dad loved his Lord and served faithfully in his Church, Christian School and community. Dad had a passion for farming and had a great love for animals and nature.
Beloved husband of the late Grace (2011). Beloved father of Patricia (Rudy) Heidelberg of St. Albert, Alberta, Ivan (Diana) Vander Deen of Port Rowan, Irene (Charlie) Dykxhoorn of Springfield, † Richard -2013 (Barb) Vander Deen of Strathroy, Clarence (Irene) VanderDeen of Strathroy, Sharon (Steve) Talsma of Norwich, John (Teresa) VanderDeen of Aylmer. Loving grandfather of 33 grandchildren and 86 great grandchildren, predeceased by great grandchildren Levi and Brooklyn. He is survived by sister Hillchien Kruizinga in Holland. Predeceased by brothers Klaas and Pieter, and sisters Albertje, Klassina and Geertje.
