Obituary
It’s with extreme sadness that the family of Ian Joseph Campbell of Saint John, NB announce his unexpected passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday September 30, 2022. Ian leaves behind the love of his life and best friend Jeannette (Roy) Campbell; his children: Chantal (Rob) Palmer, Shaun Campbell and Carrie (Randy) Cook; his grandchildren: Josh, Lauren, Isaac, Nathan, Andy, Lacey, Braden, Alex and Olivia. He also leaves behind his brother Ben (Joan) Campbell from Bridgewater NS, his brother-in-law Charles Theriault from Kensington PE, his sister-in-law Donna Roy and his Godson Jeff Roy both from Windsor ON, as well as several nieces and nephews and travel buddies and his special friends: Terry and Mona Reicker and Ken and Mariette Green. Ian is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Lois (Bright) Campbell; his sister Sharon (Campbell) Theriault, his brother Jimmy Campbell, his in-laws Lionel and Florida (Cormier) Roy and his brother-in-law Jean Marc Roy. Ian retired from NB Power after over 28 years on Apr 11, 2011, where he met lifelong friends. He worked at Courtney Bay and Coleson Cove as an Industrial Mechanic, Mechanical Senior and Maintenance Planner. Ian loved spending time with his family, having big family dinners, watching hockey, especially his grandkids. He was a true Maple Leaf’s Fan. He also loved being at the camp, being outdoors, riding his side by side, playing cards, washer toss and listening to music. We will miss our loving, caring, patient, hardworking, dependable Husband, Father and Grampy. You will always be in our hearts and your memory will live on through our stories and in the love, you taught us to have. We Love you. A Celebration of Life will be announced later by invitation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation, Breast Cancer Society of Canada, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Donor’s Choice.
