Howard Reginald “Reg” Forsythe
1935-2022
Howard Reginald “Reg”
Forsythe – age 87, of Kentville, passed away on Wednesday,
August 3, 2022. Born in Wolfville, he was
the son of the late Howard and Muriel (Westhaver)
Forsythe.
He graduated from Wolfville High School in
1951, at the age of 17. Reg then joined the Royal Canadian Air Force
where he worked as an Airframe Technician until his
retirement in 1971. During his time in the Air Force, he worked in
Gimli and Portage La Prairie, Manitoba and Trenton,
Ontario. Post retirement, he returned to Nova Scotia and operated
the Gulf Service Station in Coldbrook. He also worked for
Perry Rand Bus Company. He was the last surviving member of his
immediate family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Leona
(Chetwynd); sons, Stephen (Lynda), Dubai, and Scott
(Thérèse), Kentville; grandsons, Jake, Keith,
Jack, and Thomas, extended family and friends. He will be remembered
as a great husband, dad, and grandfather. He will be missed
by his cats, Sylvester and
Mittens.
Cremation has taken place and a private funeral
service will take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be
made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the SPCA – Kings
Branch. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
