HOLTE, Theresa (formerly known as Theresa Kupser)
September 15, 1923 — August 12, 2022
With fond memories and a deep love, we regret we have to say goodbye to Theresa Holte who passed away on August 12, 2022, at the wonderful age of 98. She was a peaceful, caring, and dedicated woman. Her legacy is her love for her family: her children Richard, Dennis, Elaine, Harvey, and Lloyd; her grandchildren Leisha, Devon, Rodney, and Lindsey; her great-grandchildren Andrew and Eric; and her great-great-grandchild, Kylian.
Born in Vibank, SK in 1923, Theresa was the eldest of a family of eight born to the late John & Madelyn Keller. She was predeceased by her brothers Peter, Joe, and Jim, and her sisters Mary and Victoria. Her brothers Ed and Tony survive her. She met Emanuel Kupser and they married in 1943. They had a family and a farm together near Unity, SK. After 16 years of farming, they moved to Peachland, BC in 1959, and eventually settled in Kelowna, BC.
Theresa worked at Kelowna General Hospital. After their marriage ended, in the course of time Theresa met Tom Holte, and they married. They spent the better part of a decade together before Theresa decided to live on her own. Even though she lived on her own, family was the entire focus of her life, as long as her family was happy, she was happy. Over the years there were many family get-togethers and much fun together. After retirement, she travelled around Canada and the US. She stayed independent until she moved to Chatsworth Retirement Suites where she lived another 15 years, and there she made dear, lifelong friends. Ultimately, she moved to Spring Valley Care, and the family would like to thank the staff there, the care and consideration Theresa received is greatly appreciated.
A Private Family Service will be held to honour Theresa.
