Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Hilliard Charles Hynes on Thursday, September 1st, 2022 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital at the age of 93 years.
He leaves to mourn with many loving memories: his wife of 68 years Margaret; his children: David (Anita), Keith, Melvin, Melinda, Caroline, Danny (Nancy), and Gerard (Lorie); grandchildren: Todd (Yvette), Blake (Keely), Danielle (Matt), Joshua (Stephanie), Katlyn (Matt), Chad (Jill), Ann Marie (Curtis), Mark (Natasha) Jada and Macy; great grandchildren: Thatcher, Oliver, Henry, Brooke, Kenzie, Waverly, Sebastian, and Marlowe; brother Fintan; and sister Stella; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
Hilliard was predeceased by: parents Joseph Thomas & Agnes Hynes; brothers: Joe, Isaac, Bernard, and Harold; and sisters: Agnes, Marg, Viola, and Marjorie.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Hilliard’s memory to St Stephen’s Parish or to the charity of your choice.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 7th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 8th at 10:00 AM from St. Stephen’s Parish.
