Obituary of Henry Krasinkiewicz
KRASINKIEWICZ, Henry – Henry passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 88. Henry was the beloved friend and constant companion of Zofia Sanca for many years. Dear father and parent (along with his ex-wife Sophie) of Christopher Krasinkiewicz (Sandra), Susan Lyon (Dave), and Joanna VanHaastrecht (Troy). Grandfather of Hilary, Dylan, Claire, Robin, Kelly, Tessa, Brooke and Ella. Brother-in-law of Hedwig and Jennie Krasinkiewicz. He will also be greatly missed by his friends and extended family. Predeceased by parents Lucjan and Stacey Krasinkiewicz, brothers Kazimierz, Walter and John and sisters Anna Antolak (Joe) and Lodi Podlacha-Ryta (Eugene). Henry was born November 1933 in Poland to a loving family. He was 8 years old when the family was evacuated to Germany. Henry was 16 when the family came to Canada, first to Halifax, then to Lethbridge as part of an agreement to pay for the journey to Canada. After 3 years they picked the beautiful city of Sarnia. After finishing school, Henry worked as a welder, then many years as a superintendent at Lambton Mall. His last employment was with Dow Chemical. Henry was an active member of The Polish Alliance. He loved to sing, dance and played many instruments. For over 40 years he was a dedicated organist at Queen of Peace Church. He loved it and played from his heart. The family would like to thank Dr. Evan Lilly and the palliative care team for taking such good care of Henry. Visitation at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. or by calling the funeral home at 519-344-3131 between 9-5. Due to the restrictions of Covid19, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. Please note that masks/face coverings are mandatory. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 475 N.
