Henry Jameson Prime, age 80 of Tiverton, passed away December 18, 2022, in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. Born on September 7, 1942 in East Ferry, he was the son of the late Frances (Stanton) and Lawrence Prime. Henry was a retired trawl, lobster, and dragger fisherman and fish plant owner of Point Fisheries Limited, Freeport.
Henry is survived by children, Russell (Carolee), Krista (Thomas), Randall (Ashley), Christopher (Stacy), and Lisa (Shawn); grandchildren, Courtney, Raine, Cole, Brooke-Lynn, Ryan, Julian, and Brianna; siblings, Brenda and Larry; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and mothers of grandchildren, Joanne and Pamela.
In addition to his parents, Henry was predeceased by infant children, Sheila Ann and Stacy Wade; and sister, Violet.
Special thanks to Chantal, Dr. Russell, and the hospital team for their compassionate assistance and care.
Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby, NS B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
