In loving memory of Henny Marjatta Salmikivi (nee Svahn) who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the Finlandia Village. Beloved wife of Pentti Salmikivi predeceased 2005. Loving mother of Jorma (wife Marika) and Markku (wife Mary). Cherished Mummu of Lance (Jennifer), Laura (Peter), Stephen (Melissa), Amanda (Sean) and step grandsons Christopher, Jonathan (Celia), Matthew, Nathan (Heidi) and great grandchildren Telessa, Jonathan, Grant, Brooke, Kaia, Taylor, Millie, Finnegan, Frederik, Edison, Luke and Parks. Dear daughter of Rikhard Lindgren and Olga Johanna Svahn both predeceased. Dear sister of Aino Svahn, Veino Svahn, Impi Svahn, Armas Svahn, Kaija Svahn all predeceased. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind very close and dear nieces and nephews in Finland. Time and distance have not diminished the special bond that had developed between them. She will be remembered and missed by all.”
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Finlandia Village SISU Foundation would be appreciated. At the family’s request, there will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation with entombment in the Civic Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
