It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Helen Hopkin at Hospice Quinte on Friday October 14th, 2022 in her 84th year. Daughter of the late Leonard & Beulah Maracle. Much loved wife of the late Harold “Hoppy” Hopkin. Beloved mother of Rhonda DeJong (Rob) of Stirling and Lynn Prest (Cecil) of Tweed. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jordan, Rawley (Kate), Colby (Alex) and great grandchildren Liam and Nolan. Survived by her sister Linda Adams of Ajax. Predeceased by brothers Lloyd, Ben, her sister Brenda and grandson Taylor DeJong.
Mrs. Hopkin is resting at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave. Belleville (613-968-5588). A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday October 19th, 2022 with visitation at 11:00 a.m. and family memories to be shared at 11:45 a.m. in the chapel. Reception to follow. If desired memorial donations to Hospice Quinte or the Special Olympics Canada Foundation are appreciated by the family.
