STOVER, Helen Elizabeth (“Becky”) (March 8, 1938 – February 28, 2022)—
Passed away, peacefully, on Monday, February 28, 2022, at the Woodingford Lodge, Tillsonburg, Helen Elizabeth (“Becky”) (nee Beck) Stover, formerly of Rock’s Mills (RR2, Tillsonburg) in her 84th year. Born in Kitchener, daughter of the late Charles Beck and the late Helen (Johnston) Beck.
Predeceased by her much loved husband and best friend of 57 years Arnold Rhodes Stover (October 18, 2016). Loved mother of David (Sue Worley) Stover, of Oakville; and Jonathan Stover, of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandmother to Katherine Aletha Worley Stover (Thomas Dixon); and Alexander William Worley Stover. Cherished aunt to nieces Barbara- Anne Frost, Becky Webb and Rachel Smith.
Becky and Arn met at and graduated from Waterloo College (now known as Wilfrid Laurier University). Becky graduated with a B.A. in English and went on to teacher’s college. Becky taught high school English on all grade levels, first at Kitchener Collegiate Institute and then for more than thirty years at Annandale High School in Tillsonburg. Becky was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, always making family a priority. In her younger years, Becky taught swimming and worked as a lifeguard at the summer camps and later at the Tillsonburg Community Centre. She was a passionate equestrienne and thoroughly enjoyed horseback riding for much of her life. Becky was also an avid reader and a member of the Tillsonburg Travel Club. Becky even made an outstanding attempt at coaching Girl’s basketball at KCI with Arn’s assistance.
In keeping with Becky’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Family Memorial by Deacon Andre DeDecker, of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg, will take place in the chapel of the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc., 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg, entrusted, with confidence, with the funeral arrangements.

All know knew Becky are invited to attend a Public Celebration of Life and Graveside Remembrance Service are planned for Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the New Road Cemetery. A public reception follows at the Indigo Lounge, Tillsonburg, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
