Helen Cornelia Illsley, loving wife of David Illsley, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022 in the oncology section of Trillium Mississauga Hospital.
Helen is survived by her husband David and son Morgan (Theressa), her two grandchildren, Logan and Lyla, her brothers Andy (Adele), Norbert (Sally), Eddy (Sharon), and Ervis (Mary).
Helen loved her grandchildren and tried to spend as much time as she could with them. Helen loved her cats in the neighbourhood and always looked forward to seeing them on her early morning walks. Helen loved flowers and gardening, reading her favourite authors, and listening to her favourite radio programmes at night. Helen will be missed by her neighbours – she met and talked to them on her walks on a daily basis.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the oncology section of Mount Sinai, Princess Margaret, Credit Valley, and Trillium Mississauga Hospital for the excellent care she received from these hospitals during her illness. The family would like to thank the palliative care nurses who came to the house for her early treatments.
In memory of Helen, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
