Passed away at home on July 23, 2022 in his 81st year after a long courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Lynn “his Ralphie” for 37 years. Step-father to Kirk Gilliland and Brent Gilliland (Sherry Brown). Grandpa to Elisha Burke and Nate Gilliland; great-grandpa to Aniyah and Haven. Mike will be missed by his brothers Larry Cummins and Paul Hale and by many, many friends. He can now karaoke in Heaven. RIP Mike. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Wheelhouse in Wilmot Creek to be announced. Arrangements entrusted to the Newcastle Funeral Home, 386 Mill Street S, Newcastle.
