The death of Harold “Harry” William Jagoe, husband of the late Carmel (Landry) Jagoe of Bridgeview Hall and formerly of CI Road, occurred on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the age of 91. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Samuel and Hazel (Mullin) Jagoe.
Harry was a butcher by trade; he was meat manager at both Sobey’s and IGA and also was self-employed in the industry. He was a former member of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Friendship Club and Miramichi Fiddlers.
Harry is survived by daughters: Joanne Whitney (David) of Fredericton, NB; Carolyn Kervin (Michael) of Oromocto, NB; Laura Blakely (Byron) of Miramichi, NB; sons: Ronald Jagoe of Miramichi, NB and Daryl Jagoe of Baie Ste. Anne, NB; sisters: Florence Potts of Fredericton, NB, Shirley Mersereau (Ray) of Harvey, NB and Bettie Malley (Preston) of Fredericton, NB; brothers: Carson John (Ann) of Barrie, ON; Edward (Sharon) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren: Jennifer Whitney of Ottawa, ON; Dr. Bronwen Whitney (William Thomas) of North Shields, England; Emily Kervin (Syrus Daver) of Saint John, NB; Lauren McCluskey (Steven) of Fredericton, NB; Allegra Blakely (Brandon Russell) of Millerton, NB; Abbygail (Corey Gallagher) of Moncton, NB; great grandson: Bryon and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, Harry is predeceased by: son: Artie; brothers: George, Wesley, Percy, Chester and infant brother: Arthur.
At the family’s request there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 2 PM.
