Hardy Robert Nickerson 19442022

Hardy Robert Nickerson
1944-2022
Hardy Robert Nickerson of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough
passed away on October 28th, 2022 at the Moncton
Hospital.
Hardy was born in Nova Scotia the son of the late Robert
and Rita Nickerson.
Hardy was a labourer and a hard worker. He worked
in the woods and last worked on his sister’s farm in
Hopewell Hill with his brother-in-law and sister, Sterling and Velma
Hoar. He was a great help on the farm and they really
appreciated his help and took him in when he needed a place to call
home. He and Sterling had a special bond and they worked
well together. It was a win-win
situation as Sterling appreciated the help and Hardy was well
looked after in return.
Later in his life he moved into Fundy Royal Manor in
Hillsborough and he made many friends there. He looked out for some of
the other residents and was always making sure everyone was getting
their needs met. He would have a smile and hello for all his
friends.
He will be missed by his sisters, Velma, Donna, and Brenda;
brothers, Albert and Donald. He will also be
missed by several nieces and nephews and by all his friends
at Fundy Royal Manor.
The family is very thankful to the Fundy Royal Manor staff
for making him comfortable the last few years and to the Moncton
Hospital for their care during his last days. The
care he received was excellent and we can’t thank everyone enough for
the kindness shown to Hardy.
Honouring Hardy’s own wishes there will be no
visitation. A Celebration of his life will be held at a
later date.
Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral
Home, 4130 Route 114, Hopewell Cape, NB, E4H-3K2
