HAMILTON-EICHINGER, Beverly Darline
December 27, 1949 – July 24, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Hamilton-Eichinger after a month long stay in the Foothills Hospital. On Sunday, July 24, 2022, Bev passed peacefully surrounded by her husband and family.
Bev was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan in 1949. She was the youngest of 8 and is survived by her identical twin sister, as well as her older brother and sister. In 1968, at the age of 18, she married her love Henry. They shared 54 wonderful years together resulting in 3 beautiful children Terry, Leah, Dean and 7 amazing grandchildren.
Bev was very ambitious and career oriented. She had various jobs from working at the Royal Bank, to helping people as a family mediator, psychiatric aide, and at the women’s shelter. She was a very respected farm debit mediator and before retirement an AMA insurance broker. Her most important job however was raising a beautiful family.
In 2000, Bev was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and with the help of a team of wonderful doctors she was able to beat the unbeatable with surgery and radiation. After Bev recovered, she spent many hours riding her horse, Chico, which she loved and found very healing. Quilting was another great love that developed over the years. She made all her kids and grandkids amazing quilts in addition to many other beautiful quilts and table pieces. Bev struggled with many health issues through the years but always had time for her family and friends. She loved to stay in touch with her loved ones through texting, sharing pictures, fire-side chats and taking in their activities when she was able.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Bev at a later date for immediate family.
Mom (Bev) will be dearly missed by her family and friends, we loved her so very much!
