It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Jamieson on August 25, 2022 at the Pembroke Regional Hospital. Beloved husband to Kathleen (nee Swant) of 53 years. Cherished father to Robert (Meredith) and Megan (Scott Clark). Proud Grampy to Rory, Sadie, Cameron and Danica.
Guy was born on November 5, 1943 in Renfrew to the late Isobel (nee Barr) and Dugald Jamieson. He will be remembered by his siblings Arthur (Dorothy), Penny, Audrey, Dugald Jr. and the late David (Louise). Dear brother in-law to Heather (Frank) Hynes, Glen (Heather) Swant and Judi (Gary) Denofrio. Guy will be forever missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and a multitude of friends.
Guy spent most of his life an as elementary school teacher in both Eganville and Cobden. He had a beautiful passion for music, immense dedication to his family and community and a love for time spent at his cottage on Lake Clear.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Gordon and the staff at the Pembroke Regional Hospital Stroke and Rehab Department for their excellent care for Guy.
Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville. A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 2:30pm. A ceilidh farewell for Guy will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 353, Eganville from 4:00-7:00pm.
