GRISÉ, Charles-Emile
1936 – 2022
The family announces with sorrow the passing of Charles Grisé (Charlie) on April 20, 2022. The Whitewood Ave. New Liskeard resident was 86 years old. He was born in New Liskeard on March 30, 1936, to Émile and Cécile Grisé.
He retired in 2000 from Rexwood/Uniboard after 35 years of service, working for many years as purchaser/controller of the wood supply. In his younger years, he enjoyed stamp collecting, after which he then became addicted to genealogy and family research.
Charles was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Predeceased by his wife Paulette (nee Lauzon) 1935-2018,his father Émile Grisé 1906-1984, his mother Cécile Rivard 1909-1997, brother-in-law Denis Lamothe 1999 (Claudette), his sister Muriel 2015 and his brother Edgar 2019, he is survived by his children; Richard (Susan Aylwin) daughter Melanie, of Gatineau; Yvan (Miriam Smith) children Derek and Sarah, his wife Jaime Moloughney, child Nicholas, of Gatineau; Gérald (Hélène Deschênes) children Rosalie and Samuel, of Gatineau; Louise Toupin (Richard) son Patrick, of New Liskeard; Nicole Daviau (Claude) children Stéphanie, Sophie and Michel, of Earlton; and 12 great-grandchildren. His siblings, Ernest (Gisèle) of Orleans, Claudette LeBrun (Peter) of Orleans, Emilia Jenkins (Dale) of North Vancouver, and Claire Uttley of New Liskeard. Many nephews, nieces, and relatives from throughout Canada.
Funeral arrangements were made by Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative in New Liskeard with the service conducted at Sacré Coeur Church on April 26, 2022, by Father Ghislain Muthu Miji.
Burial in the New Liskeard Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Melanie Alhattab, Patrick Toupin, Sarah Grisé, Rosalie Grisé, Samuel Grisé and Michel Daviau (grand-children).
Relatives and friends planning to attend from Vancouver, Ottawa-Gatineau, Orleans, Sudbury, Noëlville, and the surrounding area.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions to the New Liskeard Catholic Cemetery, will be gratefully acknowledged.
C’est avec regret que la famille vous informe du décès de Charles-Émile Grisé le 20 avril 2022. Résident rue Whitewood, New Liskeard il était âgé de 86 ans. Né à New Liskeard le 30 mars 1936 fils d’Émile et Cécile Grisé.
Après 35 ans d’emploi dans l’usine de Rexwood/Uniboard il prît sa retraite en 2000. Pour plusieurs années il était acheteur et controlleur de bois pour le moulin. Dans son jeune âge son passe-temps préféré était de collectionner les timbres, et, plus tard, il devint passionné de la généalogie.
Charles était membre de l’Église Sacré-Coeur.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses cinq enfants: Richard (Susan Aylwin) fille Mélanie, de Gatineau; Yvan (Miriam Smith) enfants Derek et Sarah, son épouse Jaime Moloughney, enfant Nicholas, de Gatineau; Gérald (Hélène Deschênes) enfants Rosalie et Samuel, de Gatineau; Louise Toupin (Richard) fils Patrick, de New Liskeard; Nicole Daviau (Claude) enfants Stéphanie, Sophie et Michel, d’Earlton; et 12 arrière-petit-enfants. Son frère Ernest (Gisèle) d’Orléans, ses soeurs Claudette LeBrun (Peter) d’Orléans, Emilia Jenkins (Dale) de North Vancouver, et Claire Uttley de New Liskeard. Plusieurs neveux et nièces, et de la parenté répartie au travers le Canada.
Les arrangements funéraires sont sous la responsabilité de la Coopérative funéraire Timiskaming de New Liskeard et la messe sera présidée par le Père Ghislain Muthu Miji de l’Église Sacré-Coeur. L’enterrement se fera au Cimetière catholique de New Liskeard au printemps.
Les porteurs et porteuses : Mélanie Alhattab, Sarah Grisé, Rosalie Grisé, Samuel Grisé, Patrick Toupin, et Michel Daviau (petits-enfants).
Plusieurs membres de la famille et les amis/amies viennent de Vancouver, Ottawa-Gatineau, Orleans, Sudbury, Noëlville, et des communautés avoisinantes.
