Gregory John Smith passed away suddenly on Friday, November 11, 2022 at his home in Sarnia. Beloved husband to Susan Marie Smith, father of Jeff Smith (Jodie) and grandfather of Ashley and Bradley Smith and Tye Cornell. Predeceased by daughter Tracy Cornell (Smith), mother and father Edna and Ellory Smith and sister Saundra Purdy (Smith). After retiring from Esso Chemical as an Electrical Supervisor, Greg had been a long time volunteer at the Restore in Sarnia using his knowledge and proficiency in electronics to repair donated items for resale to support building homes for Habitat for Humanity. This highlighted his very essence, to always be willing to help family and friends in need. He will be sorrowly missed at home and his home away from home, the family cottage north of Parry Sound. Following cremation, there will be no Funeral or Celebration of Life, in keeping with his wishes. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers in Greg’s honour to the Sarnia Restore or Habitat for Humanity (cheques only at the funeral home please).
