Gregory Edward Peake Thursday May 12th 2022

PEAKE, Gregory Edward – loving husband, father, brother, and friend passed away peacefully at his home in Brighton surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 58 years young following a strong fight against cancer.
Raised in Brighton, Greg was the son of the late Edward Francis Peake and the late Vera Marie Peake (nee Reid). Loving husband of his soulmate Elizabeth Peake (nee Hubbs) for 31 years. Dedicated and proud father of Sarah and her husband Brandon Barbara, and Lindsay and her fiancé Brandon Andrew. Dear brother of Steven Peake (Holly) of Salem. Dear friend of many.
Greg worked in the family cabinetry business with his dad and brother from a young age, eventually taking it over and renaming to “Greg Peake Wood Products.” Following his retirement, the day after his diagnosis of cancer, he dedicated his time to his family, friends and enjoyed his many hobbies including fishing, hunting, trapping and horse racing.
Special thanks to Sue from the VON, Dr. Moore, Dr. Degrace and Dr. Kapuskasing for managing his care and keeping him comfortable from diagnosis to his final days.
The family will receive friends at the Brighton Funeral Home, 130 Main Street, Brighton on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service to follow in the Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Cremation with Interment Mount Hope Cemetery, Brighton. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
Gone to soon but never forgotten. Always remember, just as Greg would say, don’t sweat the small things.
