Obituary of Gordon Ross Gilbert

Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital with Bev and Karen at his side, on Friday, September 23, 2002. Beloved husband and best friend of Beverly for 59 years. Loved father Karen and her husband David and Graham and his wife Leanne. Cherished grandfather of Kaitlyn (John) and Megan (Ryan). Dear brother of Dennis (Lois) and sisters-in-law Joan Miller and Janet Turner. Predeceased by siblings Elva, Dorothy, Bill, Bob, Ted, Joan and brother-in-law John Ayerst. Will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Gord was a long-time Member and Elder of Ker United Church and was an avid golfer, fisherman and outdoor enthusiast. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, September 29th from 11 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
