MAJOR: Gordon Edward
On February 3rd 2022, Gordon Edward Major passed away peacefully at Parkview Meadows at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Cheryl Major (Wallace) for 40 years. Predeceased by parents Edward Major and Vera Crosby. Survived by many cousins of the Major and Webb families. Brother-in-law of Marilyn Holmes (Don), Bette Cockwell (Mac, deceased), Keith Wallace (Elaine), and Diane Newell (Keith). Uncle of many nieces and nephews, great and great, great niece’s and nephew’s. Gordon graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1969 with B.A. in Chemistry. Over the years Gordon worked with many companies as a chemist. Gordon and Cheryl moved to Hagerville in 2012. Gordon and Cheryl are members of the Hagersville United Church and Gordon attended programming at the Haldimand Ability Center and Senior Support Services. Gordon was knowledgeable, witty and loved conversations around history with a friend. Cheryl and Gordon loved spending time together in Northern Ontario, their favourite spot was at a cottage in Tobermory.
Thank you to the staff at Parkview Meadow’s, 2nd Floor, Willow Grove, and VON PSW’s previous to going to Parkview. Everyones care and compassion for Gordon will always be appreciated.
