Glowein W. Duplisea, 93, of K.E.
Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, and former long-time resident of Saint
John, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 9,
2022. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Francis and
Willa (Beatteay) Long.
Glowein was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother and great grandmother, she enjoyed the precious time she
spent with her family. She was a member of Saint Jude’s
Anglican Church in Saint John, where she was a long-time member of the
Women’s Auxillary. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, reading.
She and Purdie enjoyed many years at the beach at their cottage in
Pointe-du-chene.
She will be sadly missed by her
children, Patricia “Pat” Rollins (Hayward) and Daniel
Duplisea (Marquita); grandchildren, Tracie Mason, Mark Duplisea
(Kerry) and Keith Duplisea (Crystal); great grandchildren, Carli Mason
and Alyssa Duplisea; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended
family members.
In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by her loving husband, Purdie Duplisea (2018); and by
brothers, Francis, Willard, Douglas and
Miller.
The family wishes to extend a
heartfelt thank you! to the nurses and staff of K.E. Spencer Memorial
Home for the tremendous care they gave to Glowein during her time
there.
In keeping with Glowein’s
wishes there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Interment
will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Saint
John.
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain
Road, Moncton (858-1995) have been entrusted with
arrangements.
