Obituary of Gib Tourangeau
August 15, 1922 – May 29, 2022
(Trusted and loyal employee of M. Sullivan and Sons, Arnprior for over 72 years)
With deep regret, the Tourangeau family announces that after losing their mother, Adele on Thursday evening, May 26, 2022, their father Gib passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Sunday evening, May 29, 2022. He was 99. Beloved father of Brian (Margaret) and Philip (Tracey Fraser). Cherished and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Jason Tourangeau (Lena Gale), Nick Tourangeau (Robyn Lamorie), Amanda Tourangeau (Kyle Coe), Sarah Tourangeau (Matthew Perry), Graham Tourangeau (Cindy) and Alexandra McLaren as well as his great-grandchildren: Alaina Perry, McKenzie and Charles Coe, Bethany Tourangeau and Hannah Reid (Clint). Dear brother of Bert (late Alberna). Son of the late Emerson and Minnie (nee Neumann) Tourangeau. Gib was also predeceased by his brother Jack as well as 3 sisters: Evelyn Anderson (late Jim), Peg Potter (late Gib) and Doreen Heise (late Doug). He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and so many wonderful friends. Gib’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where a visitation for he and Adele will take place on Sunday afternoon, June 5th from 2 to 4 p.m. and again on Monday afternoon, June 6th from 12 to 12:45 p.m. A combined funeral service for Gib and Adele will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel at 1 o’clock. A reception will follow. Our day will conclude with interment at the Albert Street Cemetery, Arnprior. In memory, please consider a donation to the Arnprior First Baptist Church Building Fund or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 174, Arnprior.
