Obituary of Gertrude Evelyn Taylor
It is with deep sadness that the family of Gertrude Evelyn Taylor announce her passing, peacefully with her family by her side on December 31, 2021 at the age of 97. Born in Dutch Valley on March 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William and Carolyn (Hall) Creighton and the wife of the late Harold E Taylor.
Gertrude will live on in the hearts of her daughter-in-law, Sharon Taylor of Millbrook, and her granddaughter Hilary of Moncton; her grandson, Troy (Amy) and great-grandson Zachery, step-great-grandchildren: Cole and Emma all of Midland; her grandson, David (Christa) and great-granddaughter, Faith of Moncton; her granddaughter, Trudi (Lucien) Cormier and great-granddaughter, Lily of Riverview.
Along with her parents and husband, she’s predeceased by her brother William Junior and her sons: Ernest W. and H. Kenneth.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 6-8pm. A Celebration of Gertrude’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 2:00pm. Due to the recent COVID-19 regulations, proof of government identification and vaccination must be provided for entry and masks are mandatory.
Donations in memory of Gertrude may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences to the family and donations may be made through WallaceFuneralHome.com.
The family would like to express their deepest thanks to Lynn and Emma and the Staff of Primrose Cottage for their kindness, care and compassion. It will never be forgotten.
