In loving memory of Gérard, “Sonny”,”Gerry” Bouillon, from Azilda who passed away peacefully in his home after a hard-fought battle with cancer on Thursday, May 5, 2022, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 64 years to Claire (Mayer) Bouillon. Loving father of Réal (Betty) Bouillon, Anne (Denis) Charbonneau, Pierrette “Pete” Bouillon, Lynn (Claude) Beaulieu, Paul (Lynn) Bouillon and Chantal (Gord). Cherished grandfather of Marc, Louis, Paul, Julie, Bruno, Sébastien, Nadia, Mathieu, Nicolas and Patrick. Cherished great-grandfather of Peyton, Lilianne, Cédric, Chloé, Ariel, Zack and Tyler. Dear brother of Albert (Bernadette), Roland (Jeanine) and Annette (Rhéal) Marcotte all predeceased. Survived by his brothers Donald (May) from Orléans and Robert (Lise) from Victoriaville, Québec. Dear brother-in-law to Pierrette (Rock, predeceased) Ouellet, Nicole and Bob Tessier, Richard Mayer and Monique and Lucien Gervais. He was the fifth child of six to Albini and Dorina (Cuillerier) Bouillon both predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Sonny worked at INCO as a miner and retired after thirty years of service. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by a service in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Donations in memory of Sonny can be made by cheque or online to the Special Olympics Ontario Sudbury specialolympicsontario.crowdchange.ca/1799/page/17193 .
