Geraldine Vautour
1940-2022
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Geraldine R. Vautour, 82,
of Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully, surrounded by her
loving family, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre
on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022. Born in
Richibouctou-Village, she was the daughter of the late Jos and Aurelie
(Richard) Allain. Before retiring, Geraldine had held several jobs,
such as laborer for Copak (Potato fields), seafood transformation
plant worker, housekeeper, homemaker and babysitter. She was a member
of the Saint-Ignace Golden Age Club.
Geraldine leaves to mourn her loving husband, Robert Vautour
of Saint-Louis-de-Kent; her two daughters, Denise Chevarie (Jean-Paul)
of Kent Lake and Lisa Vautour (Tony Cabral) of Richibouctou-Village;
as well as her three grandchildren, Sonia Richard (Drew), Samuel Lebel
(Amelie) and Luc Lebel (Janelle) and two great-grandsons, Caleb and
Cole Richard.
Geraldine will also be sadly missed by her two sisters,
Juliette Chiasson (late Arthur) of Richibucto and Alexina Daigle
(Fernand) of Richibouctou-Village; her brother, Urbain Allain (Gloria)
of Saint-Louis-de-Kent; two sisters-in-law, Dianne Allain of
Richibouctou-Village and Alphonsine Allain of Richibucto; her two
goddaughters, Rejeanne Hebert and Marie-Gisèle Lambert; as
well as by her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Geraldine was predeceased by her sister,
Regina Legere and her three brothers, Emerie, Vincent and
Simon.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Memorial
Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent, Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Monday from
9:00 am until departure for the funeral. The funeral mass will be
celebrated Monday, December 19th, 2022 at 11:00
am, Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola Roman Catholic Church,
Saint-Ignace.
