Parks, Geraldine (England) Steep
Creek, Guys Co. Hi Folks- By the time you read this in the
paper I would have left my home here on earth. And joined my family in
Heaven. So, I have the option of writing this today. So here I am
doing it my way. To my family I love you all dearly. Just remember
“the one who rocked the cradle” Rules the world. So be
careful I will be watching.
I was born at home in a beautiful little community called
Steep Creek, Guysborough Co. on Sunday, May 26, 1934. The fifth of
twelve children to my loving parents Howard and Jessie (Cummings)
England, and they named me Geraldine Lillian. But I ended up with
seven brothers and four sisters. We were so blessed to have lived in a
house-hold of happiness, unconditional love and support. We made our
own fun, played ball, swimming, coasting skating, playing at the
beach. And of course, we would fight (we were normal kids). But we
loved each other, no T.V. back in those days. I was more or less a
home person worked at Acadia Fisheries and the Sweet Shoppe both in
Mulgrave and the Nova Scotia Travel Bureau, Port Hastings. Married my
one and only love Harry and gave life to our children Calestine,
Kenny, Earl, Terry and Kelly and then grandchildren started to arrive,
David and Dennis our home was their home when they were young, and
along came Henry and John and all their hugs for me. And then a little
princess Nicole with big blue eyes like her Grampie Parks and then a
great-grandson, Jacob and what a little man he is, looks like his
Mommy. I leave behind brothers, Edward and Ralph; sisters, Lorna and
Myra; extended family Cyndi and Debbie and one of my best friends
Deidra and a large number of nieces and nephews and I love them all.
But I have a special place in my heart for Sherman, Paul and Sandy,
and of course my niece Donna and Eric. Beside Mom and Dad and husband,
Harry. I was predeceased by my daughter, Marlene and infant son,
Carson; brothers, Howard, Earl, Teddy, Sandy and Preston; sisters,
Rena and Toots; granddaughter-in-law, Amy; nephew, Stephen;
son-in-law, Andy; sisters-in-law, Jean and Helen; and best friend,
Mamie.
There will be no church service or memorial donations
“My Request”. Burial of ashes at a later date. Just reach
out and give someone a hug “Cheerio”. Thanks Earl and Terry
for been there for me.
Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral
Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family

I’m leaving this world as I came into it
“Bare Bones.”

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Geraldine Lillian England Parks 1934 2022..
