Obituary of Georgina Agnes Sutcliffe
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Georgina on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at age 84. Georgina (nee Crawford), beloved wife of the late Albert “Pete” Sutcliffe of Utica. Cherished mother of Kathy Nicholson, Peter Sutcliffe, and Mike Sutcliffe. Loving grandmother of Tyson Nicholson (Marissa) and Logan Nicholson (Evie) and great grandmother of Axel Nicholson. Georgina grew up in East Chezzetcook, Nova Scotia. Oldest of 9 siblings, she was a hard worker and looked after her family. She was a feisty friendly lady who helped everyone. She loved her animals, gardening and family especially her grandchildren Tyson and Logan and her great grandson Axel. Everyone was always welcome to visit her home in Utica. She will be sadly missed by her brothers Terry Crawford of Greenbank and Weldon Crawford of East Chezzetcook and her many nieces and nephews and friends in Nova Scotia and Ontario. She is now with her sisters Joan and Diane, her brothers Clyde, Dan, Lloyd and Roger and her parents George and Janet Crawford. Thank you to Lakeview Manor in Beaverton for looking after her.
The family of Georgina Sutcliffe will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Monday, June 27th from 10 – 11 a.m. A Service to Celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Private interment Kendal Cemetery, Utica. Georgina loved plants, flowers and animals. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the World Wildlife Federation.
