Obituary of George Laughlin
Life time resident of Kinburn and 6th generation Laughlin in Canada.
George passed away peacefully at his home in Kinburn on Sunday November 27, 2022 at the age of 85.
Loving husband and best friend for 62 years of Sheila (nee Bradley). Beloved father of Bev (Karl), Steve (Jane) and Brad (Jackie). Cherished grandfather of Coady (Aimee), Mitch (Kaitlyn), Rebecca (Stephen), Nick (Ashley), Nolan, Kayla, Travis and Blair. Great grandfather of 7.
Dear brother of Melva Laughlin. Survived by brothers-in-law Everette Bradley (Joyce) and Barry Bradley (Linda).
Predeceased by his parents, Lester and Olliverta Laughlin. George was a successful carpenter, a talented woodworker and an avid outdoorsman. He shared his special love of nature, hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his extended family, many friends and neighbours.
A heart-felt thank you to the numerous medical professionals and personal support workers who helped George over the last few years.
His final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. Family and friends are invited to a Service to honour and remember George which will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Thursday morning, December 1st at 10:30. (The service will be webcast live for those unable to attend).
A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow in the Pilon Family Reception Centre. Private interment Diamond Cemetery, Kinburn.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Queensway Carleton Hospital.
