Obituary
George Stroop, the son of Rinke and Anna, was born in Nieweschoot, Friesland in the Netherlands, and after coming to Canada met and married Diane Van Amerongen.
George was a gentle and loving husband to Diane. Father of Angelica (Glen), Monica (Tom), Corinna, Alisha (Peter), Jenny (Jason), Geoff (Yvonne), and Daniel. Grandfather of Amber, and Opa of Chris (Celina), Geoffrey (Megan), Brendan (Bailey), Miranda (Daniel), Richard, Coralyn and Rory who will all miss him dearly.
George was a devout believer in the Lord, his Saviour, Jesus Christ, and led a life filled with the joy of his children, the comfort that came from the fruits of his labour, and delight in the time he spent with his cherished wife.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday September 28, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at KITCHING STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown where the Funeral will take place on Thursday September 29, 2022 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Sew on Fire or Binbrook Baptist Church would be appreciated.
