VALLES, George Norbert – AKA George, Porgie, Uncle Porge, Dad, Grampa Valles, Da Da – Peacefully at Marianhill in Pembroke, Ontario on Saturday, August 27th, 2022, in his 86th year. George Valles, of Owen Sound and later, Pembroke, lovingly remembered by his wife Charlotte Mary Valles (nee Burton), children Maria, Damian (Heidi) and Shane Valles, and grandchildren Archer, Elliot, Petra, Muriel and Erolene. Dear brother of Eleanor (Gerry) O’Leary, the late Noel (Brenda) Valles, Leslie (Priscilla) Valles, the late Terrence Valles and Christopher (Linda) Valles. Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends near and far. George was gregarious, well-read, a great talker, a good dancer, an excellent cook and the life of any party. He loved sunshine, rye and a good debate, and made a lasting impression on everyone he met. As he enters his eternal summer, the sun will shine a little less bright for those of us left behind. Respecting George’s wishes, cremation has taken place. An informal reception will take place on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 at 465 4th Ave E, Owen Sound.
