Peacefully with family at his side, at home in Russell, on Thursday July 28, 2022 at the age of 68. Beloved husband and soulmate of Marilyn (Cybulski), best friend and father of Adam (Stephanie). Proud Grandfather of Declan and Everett. Eldest brother of Emily and Dwight of Renfrew, Ontario. George will be missed by his many loving nephews, extended family and friends. He is the son of the late Claude and Lorraine (Lavallee) MacMillan of Renfrew. George loved life, he had a great knowledge and love of cars, but an even greater love for family and friends. George had a successful career and loved his work as an iron worker and project manager, he was a proud member of local 765 and developed many lifelong friendships. George will be remembered dearly as an exceptional man who took every opportunity to enjoy each day, every experience, and share conversation with great company. During his long battle with cancer, he was supported by many wonderful physicians, nurses and staff at both the Winchester and Ottawa hospitals. Family and friends are invited to Celebrate George’s life at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. on Wednesday August 10 from 5 to 8 pm.
