George’s Obituary
Passed away, suddenly but peacefully, at the Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday September 28th 2022. George was 67 years of age. Beloved husband and best friend to Tracy. Loving father of Sherry Lynn (Pat) and Kevin. Predeceased by his daughter Melissa (2013). Step-father to Adam (Laura) and Brad (Holly). Cherished grandfather to Curtis (Cassie), Breanna, Jaylynn, Dominic, Hannah, Riley, Brody and Brandon, Fynnley, Keeley, Cadence and Brooklynn. Great-grandpa to Carter and Finley. Best friend to Merve (Mary), he considered him as his ‘brother’. He is also survived by his children’s mother, Cheryl (Bruce). He will be dearly missed by extended family and many dear friends.
George loved his wife Tracy and his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being anywhere outdoors was his favourite place to be! He loved working on lawnmowers and woodworking projects. He was a natural handyman – no problem was too hard to fix! He was a ‘jack of all trades’. He loved to camp and fish. Even if the fish were not biting, he was still trying. Whenever he heard one his favourite country music songs the radio was turned up to full volume!
Friends will be welcomed at the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, on Thursday October 6, 2022 from 1 – 2 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. In accordance with George’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place. In George’s memory, donations to the Purrfect Companions Of Norfolk Animal Rescue (www.purrfectcompanions.ca/) would be appreciated by the family.
