George Kempton Misner
– age 69, of Kentville, passed away on Sunday, November 6,
2022, at home. Born in Kentville, he was a son of the late Charles and
Bessie (Decker) Misner. He was a devoted and dedicated husband, who
cared for his wife, Marilyn, looking after her in their home for many
years. In his earlier years, George worked for the Town of Kentville
in the Public Works department and was later employed as a truck
driver with Scotia Farms. He liked antique cars and in retirement he
enjoyed working with his son at Greg Misner Detailing, Kentville and
especially detailing firetrucks and old cars. He is survived by his
wife, Marilyn; sons, Mitchell (Vanessa), Sheffield Mills; Greg
(Stephanie), Kentville; brother, Harry (Carol), Kentville;
grandchildren, Tyra, Abbi, Hailie, Ella, Ethan and Jaylynn. In
addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant daughter,
Tanya. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by
request. The funeral service and interment will be held at a later
date. The family would like to extend special thanks to EHS Paramedics
(based in Windsor), Nathan and Melissa for their care and kindness.
Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital
Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
