George Edward ‘Eddy’ Woodman 1932 2022

WOODMAN, George Edward “Eddy”
– Age 89, Mulgrave passed away on Monday,
August 1, 2022, in the Inverary Manor, Inverness. Born in Glace Bay,
he was the son of the late Bert and Christena (Guthro)
Woodman.
Eddy worked as a deep-sea fisherman and also worked for C.A.
Pitts, and Canso Seafoods. He was a member of St. Lawrence Parish,
Mulgrave. Eddy enjoyed playing baseball with the Mulgrave Eagles,
fishing and entertaining in many variety shows over the
years.
Surviving are his sons, Gerard (Jocelyn Wills), Hantsport;
David and Michael, both of Mulgrave; brother, Francis, Glace Bay;
grandchildren, Brandy, Jonah, Keating, Drue, Brian and Jeffery Wood.
He was predeceased by his wife, Delores “T.T.” (Keating);
sons, Robert, Janis and one in infancy; sisters, Margaret Bradbury,
Jessie MacDonald, Shirley Brophy, Philamena; brother,
Bertram.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will take
place on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. in St. Lawrence
Parish Cemetery, Mulgrave with Father Allan MacPhie officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Lawrence Parish, Mulgrave. Words
