Obituary for
George Carl Kathrein
On July 3, 2022, Mr. George Carl Kathrein of Mayerthorpe, AB peacefully passed away at the age of 92 years.
George will be lovingly remembered by his son, Simon of Edmonton, AB; daughter, Sandra (George) McMillan and their children, Sarah and Cole, all of Sangudo, AB; brothers, Edward, Joseph (Audrey), Albert (Rose); sister, June; sisters in law, Marilyn and Delia, and many more dear relatives and friends.
George is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Angèle; parents, Carl and Elizabeth; brothers, Frank, John, Robert, Daniel; brother-in-law, Melvin; sisters, Dorothy (Ray) and Virginia (John).
Thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre for the excellent care and support shown to George and the family.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 12 p.m. at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 4811 – 49 Avenue, Mayerthorpe, with Rev. Fr. Felix Devasia officiating. Private inurnment in Mayerthorpe Cemetery.
